These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MarkPress, available at https://markpress.pro and operated by APPSOFTEA LTD. By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms
MarkPress provides an online Markdown editor and multi-platform publishing tool that allows users to write, format, and publish content to multiple platforms. By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms.
MarkPress may update or modify these Terms at any time. Updates become effective once posted on the website. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must stop using the Service immediately.
2. Account Registration & User Eligibility
To access Pro features, you must create an individual account with a valid email address. The free editor can be used without registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activities under your account.
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Deletion is permanent and may result in irreversible data loss.
3. Description of Service & Usage Rules
MarkPress offers an online Markdown editor with real-time preview, multi-format export, and multi-platform publishing capabilities. The platform operates under a Freemium model: free users access the full editor and basic features, while paid plans unlock advanced export, publishing, customization, and support features.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful and legitimate purposes. MarkPress reserves the right to modify, improve, or remove features at any time without prior notice.
4. Payment & Subscription Policy
MarkPress provides monthly ($5/mo), yearly ($48/yr), and lifetime ($79) paid plans. Payments are securely processed through Stripe.
- Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel beforehand.
- Lifetime plans are one-time purchases and do not renew automatically.
A 7-day free trial is available for monthly and yearly plans. Lifetime plans do not include a trial period.
5. Refund Policy & Termination
Refund requests arising from non-technical reasons are not eligible for refunds by default.
Refunds are available only when a technical issue prevents proper use of the Service and remains unresolved after reasonable support efforts. Refund requests are manually reviewed within five business days.
You may cancel auto-renewal anytime through your account dashboard. Lifetime plan purchases are non-refundable.
6. Acceptable Use Policy
You must not:
- Upload, share, or transmit unlawful or infringing content
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or interfere with the Service
- Abuse usage limits, automate access, or circumvent restrictions
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or copy the platform
- Use the Service for spam, harassment, or malicious purposes
Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
7. User Content & Intellectual Property
Users retain full ownership of the content they create, upload, or export via the platform. By using the Service, you grant APPSOFTEA LTD a non-exclusive, worldwide license to process your content solely for the purpose of delivering the Service.
All software, code, documentation, interface designs, trademarks, and branding of MarkPress are the intellectual property of APPSOFTEA LTD.
8. Privacy & Data Protection
MarkPress collects essential information such as email addresses, usage data, and payment information (handled directly by Stripe). All data is processed in accordance with applicable laws, including GDPR and CCPA.
An independent Privacy Policy explains how your data is collected and used.
9. Service Availability & Interruptions
MarkPress aims to provide approximately 99% uptime, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed.
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
Any liability is limited to the amount paid by you during the preceding 12 months.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of London, United Kingdom.
